So what does it cost for a fractional CFO?
The short answer is – It depends.
The longer answer is – Because every client has different needs, the best way to approach the question of cost is to have an initial discussion with us to let us know what your biggest challenges are. We can learn more about you and begin to form a framework of how to approach the issues in the most efficient way possible. Often, this involves a deep dive discovery process where we can evaluate your financial capabilities and develop some shorter- term and longer-term recommendations/action plans leading to a specific roadmap to success. This is normally about a 4-6 week process and typically costs between $6-8K.
Once completed, there is no further obligation on your part, but we find most clients prefer that we implement and maintain the prioritized recommendations. The monthly cost of this second phase can vary based on complexity and resources required, but often falls within the $5-8K range per month. It’s possible that it may cost less if the ongoing requirements are less extensive. Or potentially more if there are multiple complexities, projects, resources needed, etc.
